Details:
KTZ (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy), headquartered in Astana, controls more than 15'000 km of railway track and has a large fleet of locos and wagons. It was recently decided to invest in data analytics for a better fleet and driver management system. Bombardier and HaslerRail upgraded the existing TELOC data recorders with a data transfer board enabling Ethernet communication. Using a gateway and an antenna data is being transferred to the control center where EVA+ software provides all the requested information. The Fleet Management receives detailed information about the individual train location on a map showing the driven track as well. At the same time all critical events are shown in the form of reports and can be analyzed further. The Driver Instructor Team compares the data for evaluating the driver quality and also used the information for the election of the best driver of the year.
